Lorentz is a musician based in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. His jazz trio plays regularly thoughout New England and New York, and is known for making stops in the unlikeliest of places! His 2010 recording Borderlands (Metier Jazz) offers all-original songs that combine jazz with forays into avant-garde, blues and classical music. The band includes Lorentz on tenor sax, John Menegon on bass and David Calarco on drums and features vocalists Suzanne Kantorski and Teri Roiger. In other efforts, Jon recently launched the NH Jazz Center an organization that is dedicated to the preservation and further evolution of jazz music. The Jazz Center hosts concerts in a jazz club setting every Thursday at Pitman's Freight Room in Laconia, NH. All shows at 8pm* $10 admission * BYOB. Venue has listening policy.
