There's something special about arriving at an event venue and being greeted with a feeling of serenity, peace and well, happiness. Maybe it was the high-altitude air, stunning views, or the perfect weather that had me all-smiles from the start. Perhaps it was running into my friend Gabby Coughenour from Winding Road Photography and having an opportunity to work with her once again that made the joy that much greater.
As I loaded in to Olivia & Jim's celebration at Mountain Meadows (which is a year-round country inn located on a beautiful property at Kent pond, and only a short distance from Killington Ski Resort) I was delighted to be in a stress-free zone. Proof positive may have been the helping hand that was extended to me by the groom (a darn good host) who helped me carry in my DJ gear and instruments. That's a first, Jim!
I guess if you've traveled to B&Bs (or wedding venues) you know that four walls and ceiling do not make a home. It's the people greeting you, working with you, and communicating with you who will, together, help create the perfect environment.
And in any venue that love and service comes from the top. I was so pleased to work with proprietors Bill and Anne Mercier, as well as Lauren, Kyle, and everyone else on their fantastic staff. I can't commend them enough for their work and would offer a high recommendation for your wedding (or for a visit) in Killington Vermont!
